Willy Walker comes to the Abbey Group with a lifetime of food service experience. Working in kitchens since he was 15, he has a colorful and varied experience in the food industry . Up to and including owning a catering and restaurant business. New to the Abbey Group, he had spent the previous three years managing school kitchens in Vermont.
He is an avid baseball fan and enjoys eating out on his down time. He has a strong connection with fresh food and looks to continue the use and growth of fresh and local products in the school menus.
Willy extends an open door and heavy personal communication to his staff and customers as he approaches his work on a personal level with the intention to understand an issue and move through processes to ease systems and measure results.
